He wrote funny poems, love poems, ballads, limericks, poems about parking meters and stories, funny stories, sad stories and stories of his travels but even after publishing several books he still languished in obscurity and Operation Enduring Digitarti remained a dismal failure.
He begged the public to support the troops, to get behind the legions of poets and writers he sent into battle but the people cried, "Bring our poets home, let them live with their families and lower the cost of gasoline."
Maybe that last part was about some other failed operation. At least he didn't have to worry about impeachment. Or did he?
Could the imagined Poet Laureate of Greensboro, North Carolina be impeached? He hoped the answer was no.
